Moj pradjed shvatio je da se radi o dobroj, kvalitetnoj koži, ali nije tome pridavao previše pozornosti. Jedan dio je otkinuo i u tome je čuvao čavle, rekla nam je vlasnica prve hrvatske lopte.

Prva nogometna lopta čuva se u sefu jedne banke. Osigurana je na iznos od milijun kuna, a u siječnju 2018. godine smo domu njezine vlasnice Ivane Gorbačov imali priliku vidjeti hrvatsko nogometno blago. Lopta je u 19. stoljeću bila u Županji, mjestu gdje je Hajduk gostovao ovaj utorak u šesnaestini finala Hrvatskog kupa.

Njezin otac Augustin Lukačević loptu je našao 1979. godine.

– Lopta je bila na vještačenju i potvrđeno je da je koža od koje je lopta izrađena iz tog vremena, s kraja 19. stoljeća – rekla je Ivana i dodala:

– Ovo je sigurno jedna od najstarijih nogometnih lopti u Europi.

Inače, vlasnica prve lopte udana je za Rusa Genadija, bivšeg hokejaša Medveščaka.

Lopta je 2012. godine bila izložena u Splitu. Godinu dana bila je i posuđena HNS-u.

– Moj otac je najzaslužniji za to – rekla nam je Ivana Gorbačov i dodala:

– Lopta u Županji ima i svoj spomenik.
